ought, should + simple inf. = “ควรกระทำ” ปัจจุบันหรืออนาคต
ตัวอย่าง
We ought to leave now.
He should leave tomorrow.
ถ้า + perfect inf. = “ควรกระทำในอดีต” แต่ไม่ได้ทำ
ตัวอย่าง
We ought to have left yesterday but we didn’t.
He should have left yesterday but he didn’t.
